Featuring cinema sound systems designers who oversee the installation, deployment, setup, and calibration of cinema and mixing stage sound systems in well-known facilities, this workshop will focus on engineering and design criteria for such systems. Panelists will use installed sound systems as a reference as they review fundamental design criteria ranging from power requirements to coverage and room acoustics. They will discuss component requirements for meeting those criteria and address key installation factors, special considerations for immersive sound systems, and how to ensure easy maintenance and calibration, all while working within a budget.
