Julian Pinn is as an audio and imaging expert and innovator with more than two decades of consultancy experience in the field of media entertainment technology. He has advised hundreds of international film productions on their techno-artistic optimization for the cinema medium, often following the film from post-production to theatrical distribution and exhibition. Pinn is also a respected senior business development and sales and marketing executive with extensive international experience in leading teams of engineers, sales, and marketing professionals. Pinn is an active participant in the SMPTE standards community and past chair of the International Organization for Standardization Standards Committee for Cinematography. He is a full voting member of British Academy of Film Television and Arts, is a board director of the European Digital Cinema Forum, is the chair of the Standards Committee for Cinematography of the British Standards Institute, and chair of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) Technical Committee for Cinema Audio.
