One of several consultants at Outtahand Displays, Mandle’s current focus is on multi-color primary video systems and display. Before forming Outtahand Displays, Mandle was a Sr. product manager at Sony Professional Solutions Group. His product development initiatives included many Sony display projects, including Sony’s BVM and PVM DTV CRT models, the development of Sony’s organic light-emitting diode (OLED) monitor technology, the implementation of Sony’s digital cinema projection and server systems, and other product technologies. Mandle has been published in several SMPTE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Society for Information Display (SID) publications and has been a contributing author of several text books with regard to cathod ray tube, AC Plasma, liquid crystal display (LCD) and OLED technologies. Other areas of work include designing stabilization devices for electro-optical camera images and developing CCD sensors where he holds numerous patents. Memberships include CIE, IEEE, SID, OSA, and the ASC as well as serving as SMPTE Western Region Governor.
