Massimiliano Gasparri is a partner in a software development and consulting company that collaborates and invest in early stage startups focusing on product design, engineering development, and product launch. Prior to elev8+, Mr. Gasparri was VP of Technology at Warner Bros. where he was responsible for the development, hosting and operations of public facing digital media applications. Previously, he was part of the WB Tech Ops group leading R&D projects and evaluations of new technologies for film and tv production, digital cinema, content protection, and distribution. In 1997 Mr. Gasparri relocated to California to join Walt Disney Feature Animation as a project lead for software applications that streamlined the post production and animation processes. His film credits include Tarzan, Dinosaur, Fantasia 2000, The Emperor’s New Groove, and Atlantis. His digital media expertise stemmed from his work at Avid Technology, where he focused on media asset management, metadata interchange, editing and visual effects application development for the film and broadcast industries.
Mr. Gasparri holds 16 U.S. patents and has 9 patents pending in areas such as film restoration, encoding, 3D audio, digital media identification, content playlist and distribution. He also completed his undergraduate research thesis at Boston University developing a solution to extract 3D models from photographs.
