Pradeep received his Bachelors in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and his MS and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Pradeep is currently a Principal Engineer at MulticoreWare Inc., where he heads the Video Solutions Engineering Team. His team is responsible for the popular open source HEVC codec, x265. Pradeep's research interest span a variety of topics at the boundary of hardware and software in system design
