Rowan de Pomerai is Head of Delivery & Growth for the DPP, the media industry’s business network. The DPP is the place where customers and suppliers come together to solve problems and create opportunity; Rowan leads the DPP’s technology strategy and delivery, driving a collaborative approach to solving real business problems across the media industry.

Rowan has an MEng in Electronic Engineering with Media Technology from the University of York, and a strong background in media innovation, having started his career in BBC Research & Development. Since then he has delivered transformative change for some of the UK’s biggest broadcasters and producers, including architecting and deploying the BBC’s Automated QC solutions. He then joined ITV where he was Senior Technical Manager for ITV Studios, leading the Production Modernisation project to streamline the production process and ready the company for file-based delivery.

Most recently, Rowan was Director of Professional Services, EMEA at Ooyala. He and his team delivered media workflow, asset management and online video solutions to leading broadcasters, sports clubs and enterprises across the region.
