Jean-Louis Diascorn is a senior product manager for compression encoders at Harmonic, where he drives the company’s efforts for the application of AI in compression. Previously, Jean-Louis designed content protection systems and contributed to ATSC specifications in conditional access and PSIP at Thomson Corporate Research (now Technicolor). During his years as a design engineer, he worked on some of the first SD and HD MPEG-2 encoders in the world.
Jean-Louis holds a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Polytech Nantes in France and has been awarded several patents in content security and compression.
