Speaker Bio
Jake Zuena is a recent graduate of RIT with a B.S. degree in Motion Picture Science. Throughout the course of his education, Zuena developed a strong interest in the topics of color science and how they incorporate both scientific and creative interpretation. While at RIT, he performed a senior research project to assess the creative preference of highly-saturated colors in motion picture mastering workflows. In addition to his courses, Zuena was an active member of RIT’s SMPTE Chapter. He served as the chapter’s president during his senior year, after performing the role of secretary during both his sophomore and junior years. In 2018, Zuena was a recipient of the SMPTE Louis F. Wolf Jr. Memorial Scholarship. In the summer of 2018, he completed an internship with Warner Bros. Studios as an Emerging Technology Intern for Color and Imaging Science. Upon graduation, he began working as an Applied Vision Science Intern for Dolby Laboratories in the Imaging Applied Research Division.
