Catherine Meininger is a color scientist for Portrait Displays in Edmonds, WA. Though her main interests originated in audio and video post-production, Ms. Meininger developed a passion for the perceptual side of the industry and focuses her research on color science and psychophysics. In 2018, she received her BS degree in Motion Picture Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). While attending school, Ms. Meininger was an active member of RIT's SMPTE Student Chapter and served as president of the organization her senior year. In 2017, she was a recipient of the SMPTE Louis F. Wolf Jr. Memorial Scholarship. In 2018, she received an Honorable Mention in the Student Award competition for her thesis on chromatic noise perception.
