Katsuya Hayashi received his associate degree in information technology from Tsuyama College of National Institute of Technology and joined Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) in 2000. He was initially engaged in the management of digital broadcasting transmission and reception systems at Tottori, Yamaguchi and Hiroshima branch broadcasting stations. Since 2017, he has been involved in standardizing the digital broadcasting reception system in Transmission & Reception Engineering Center of NHK.
