With few exceptions, the production of content is now purely digital. The assets, tools, storage, movement, and distribution are all collections of data in various forms.
For those outside the industry, it's easy to think that "data is data"
and content is now within the domain of Information Technology and Information Security.
The traditional methods of (enterprise) information security don't map well to Media & Entertainment. The environments are different, the data is always in motion, and the people on productions don't have time (or
motivation) to bow to the corporate way.
Let's solve these problems by taking new approaches that are built on relationships of trust.
Technical Depth of Presentation
This paper presents a framework for the security problem and a combination of technologies and techniques that address the problem. As such, I would say the presentation is fundamental.
What Attendees will Benefit Most from this Presentation
The main take-away is that securing distributed content creation workflows requires a holistic approach that comprises a combination of IT and media security technologies, implemented in accordance with emerging best practices.
